Morden Farmers’ Market

The Morden Farmers’ Market, hosted by the Morden & District Chamber of Commerce, emerges in downtown Morden every Thursday from 4:00pm-6:00pm from mid-June to early-October. Vendor canopies, musicians and singers, hot food, cold drinks, community organizations, and local shoppers transform 8th Street into a bustling marketplace. Manitobans from far and wide are invited to gather with us; to shop for fresh produce, specialty meats, artisan baked goods and a variety of arts & craft items.

The market gives home- and farm-based ventures a venue to promote their products. It also brings commerce to the heart of Morden, where nearby shops are also open for business. A place to greet neighbours, meet new friends, and be entertained by buskers, the Morden Farmers’ Market is a fantastic reason to come explore South Central Manitoba.

The Market has been operating at 8th Street and Stephen Street since 1995. Located adjacent to the iconic Clock Tower and one of Morden’s most identifiable heritage buildings, the Market is easy to find and has ample free street parking.

Pineridge Hollow Farmers’ Market

A thriving farmers’ market has always been a vision for Pineridge Hollow. They love to see previous vendors return with fresh ideas, and welcome new sellers as well. As a local business, they want to help other vendors around the community excel in what they do and the farmers’ market is a way to achieve that goal.
Pineridge Hollow looks for artists, farmers, local business owners, bakers, and makers who are enthusiastic about their product and look to create a positive experience for those who come to the market.
Featured at the market is fresh, locally grown produce, a variety of food products such as bread, perogies, preserves, quinoa, kimchi and so much more. The market also has artisans from all over Manitoba that share their unique crafts as well as vendors that sell Norwex, natural health care and beauty products.

Harvest Moon Local Food Initiative

The Harvest Moon Local Food Initiative was born out of a dream in the town of Clearwater in the wake of the BSE crisis.  A group of local farmers worked together with University students, schools, community members and other interested stakeholders to look into ways that farmers could make connections with customers and the land.  After many years of triumphs and challenges, the initiative has taken its current form.

The Initiative is a group of farmers who work together to market and distribute a huge variety of products in Brandon, Winnipeg and nearby locations.   The connection with the customer is as important and their strict production standards.

When a customer orders from HMLFI, they get to choose from over 250 products from over a dozen sustainable family farms.  The products vary from meat and grains to soap, honey and eggs.  The customer orders from each farm directly but only pays one invoice and receives a single tub containing all of the delicious food from all the different farmers.  The farmers meet monthly to pack orders and to discuss the various issues of the day.

Currently delivery is the 4thSaturday of every month to several “buying club” locations across the province.  They are looking into moving to biweekly deliveries to buying clubs and also into the possibility of home delivery so stay tuned!

Harvest Moon is excited to announce that we now have a home delivery service!  We have limited spots available so get your order in quickly. All you have to do is select “Winnipeg Home Delivery” under the location drop down box and you are set!
