The gardens at the Harvest Moon Learning Centre provide fresh produce for the courses, workshops and festival held on site.
The greenhouse and permaculturally-designed gardens are overseen by our Ecological Gardening Intern and offer a learning setting for aspiring farmers. Tours are available by request.
|Coordinator||Accommodation provided. The HMS Coordinator is a full-time, year-round position to advance the vision and mission of the Harvest Moon Society. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the HMS Coordinator works with committees to coordinate the society’s programs and volunteers. The Coordinator will work 35 hours per week at $17/hour. Ideally, the Coordinator will be located in Clearwater Manitoba at the Harvest Moon Learning Centre office. The Coordinator may work from home but is expected to be in Clearwater 50% of the time. Shared accommodations in the Harvest Moon Learning Centre are available, if needed.|
The Harvest Moon Society holds central a commitment to using and demonstrating organic permaculture on the grounds. This means that passive systems and those which actively build soil and habitat are to be favoured above those that require energy inputs or deplete soil/habitat.
It's a good ol' fashioned country work bee. You help us get our gardens prepped and site looking spiffy, and we'll make sure you're fed and...hydrated ;) We have jobs for all skill levels. Bring your camping gear or rent one of the Clearwater Cabins. There'll be live music at the Harvest Moon Coffee House and a campfire Saturday night!
