New Bothwell, MB - We are smoking our succulent, fresh chickens again.
These are brined before smoking; hence a long ... two full weeks ... 'shelf' life in the fridge, even after slicing into them. They are cooked in the smoking process and can be eaten as is. No further cooking or heating required. A perfect instant food ! Delectable, moist, tasty. Very good reheated in stir fires, rice dishes, soups. Excellent cold as a sliced meat, in salads, etc., etc.
Try one !

Winnipeg, MB - The garden has been planted. Our garden crew was very efficient in hand planting our hill vegetables, such as pumpkins and squash. They did an excellent job in planting our seed potatoes, tomatoes, and corn. This year we put in 27 rows of sweet corn due to its popularity. We planted more pumpkins because they are so popular. The beets,as usual, will be fun for the kids to harvest.
